Description:This project was inspired by the classic tale The Ant and the Grasshopper, though the Portuguese version features a cicada instead of a grasshopper. The objective was to reinterpret the story in a new style and create posters and a Behance page to showcase it. For the posters, I designed two variations: one in a comic-book style and another with a minimalist depiction of the scene where the cicada asks the ant for food. For the Behance project, I reimagined the story with a "Romeo and Juliet" twist, where the cicada is a singer serenading the ant queen. The Behance page included GIF animations showing glimpses of the characters' daily lives in a more humanized form, alongside their insect versions. Additionally, I developed sellable concept items like figurines and tote bag designs. I particularly enjoyed the second part of the project. By then, I had a better understanding of my creative freedom, which allowed me to explore and express my ideas more fully. I am also a little mad the slider part of the behance page takes a while to load, leaving a white hole in it's place. There are some gifs I decided not to use in my final work, so I placed them in this page.
